Petrel Engineering, based in Cape Town, South Africa, was founded in 1947 and is recognised globally as a leading manufacturer and supplier of deck equipment to the fishing and shipping industries, as well as being well-known internationally for its custom designed and built subsea, marine, mining, naval and civil engineered products.

Although the company focuses on the marine sector, it does supply a wide range of equipment and systems to diverse industries, which include specialised transport systems, refuse compacting equipment, industrial drying ovens, conveyor systems, floating marina walkways and many more.

Petrel Engineering is an SABS ISO 9001 accredited company, which ensures that overall optimum standards are consistently maintained. Petrel Engineering delivers high quality designed and manufactured products to the mining, shipping, civil / structural engineering and oil industries.

Petrel Engineering is an innovative design and manufacturing company and has therefore been involved in such diverse projects as the first revolving house and the Sanae IV Research Base in Antarctica.
